NSYLive
Logo Design and Motion Graphic
Project Overview
In the midst of the 2020 pandemic shutdowns, the North Suburban YMCA began using NSYLive as a solution to keep its programs alive and accessible to the community. This initiative was part of the broader development of the Virtual Y Platform, aimed at transforming how fitness is experienced during a time of physical isolation. Through NSYLive, we launched livestream fitness classes that combined local community spirit with modern technology, ensuring members could continue their fitness journey from home.I played a key role in strategizing and developing NSYLive, creating a brand that embodied both innovation and community connection. This initiative was a direct response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, allowing us to maintain engagement, deliver high-quality virtual fitness content, and demonstrate our ability to adapt quickly and effectively during unprecedented times.
My Contributions
I led the design of the NSYLive logo, carefully crafting its aesthetic to embody the innovative, modern essence the NSYMCA envisioned for its Virtual Y Platform. By incorporating a red box with a play button, reminiscent of the YouTube logo, I aimed to evoke a sense of familiarity while positioning NSYLive as a cutting-edge video platform tailored to today's digital audience. Additionally, I conceptualized and developed an engaging Motion Graphic Video for the livestream platform, designed to captivate viewers during standby periods. This dynamic visual experience not only enhances the user journey but also reinforces NSYLive's commitment to delivering high-quality, immersive content. Together, these contributions played a key role in creating a cohesive, impactful brand identity for NSYLive, perfectly aligning with the NSYMCA's vision for virtual fitness innovation.
